We didn’t get the chance to perform this as a choir due to the ‘Rona, but we managed to get through and learn the piece and wow. I really love this piece. The harmonies are wonderful. My favorite part is when we get to the final lines – “If this isn’t love, I don’t know what is.” The pure emotion in those lines, the buildup in the music, the sheer joy almost had me in tears. “Glazed in tangerine light” brings a flavor to the song just in time for the finale. The symmetry of the humming and oo’s at the beginning and end just gives an excellent introduction and conclusion to a beautiful piece. I will be revisiting this page to listen to this quite often, I feel.
