Beautiful and melodic piece. My women’s choir loves it. Perfect for a simple Sunday.

When you look at a David von Kampen piece you know you are going to get much more than might first appear – especially in his delightful setting of this Isaiah text “Lovely Appear.” A simple, but elegant setting, David combines a deft ability of text-illumination with a memorable melody while incorporating occasional chromatic tones both in the accompaniment and vocal line which provide a pleasant and purposeful freshness to the ear. Both quiet moments and dramatic high points make this an emotionally engaging piece. Listeners come away with a renewed impression of the text.
