And I Saw (SSAA)
A rhythmically driving vision of a world where we value love over possessions and accomplishments.
-
And I Saw
SSAA a cappella
The emotional and musical payoff in this visionary piece is well worth the challenge. Independent rhythms stacking nicely with other parts, and the voice leading for unusually colorful harmonies is very accessible. Written for a consortium of advanced women’s choirs from around the world.
Text
And our eyes were opened; eyes that had been holden.
And I saw the world, and the fruits thereof.
And I saw their glories, scarlet-stained and golden,
All a crumbled dust beneath the feet of Love.
And I saw their dreams, all of nothing worth;
But a path for Love, for Him to walk above,
And I saw new heaven, and new earth.
